Some Ideas Work, Some Don’t

In an effort to expand the range of creations, many ideas get kicked around and the limits of the materials are explored. Most ideas will go no further than these preliminary steps, for one reason or another. The main reason I paint and varnish these little things at my studio at Studio Space Ottawa is because of the dust (it’s fuzz!) in the air of the apartment where I live, but sometimes I get impatient and use the paints I have here to get a better sense of where things could go. These are between 1/4 and 3 inches in height. Oven-baked polymer clay with acrylic paint and mediums.
