August, already.
We are waaaay behind in updates on the website. Today, we were at our third Beechwood Market in New Edinburgh. It was a hot and sunny day, with lots of folks from the neighbourhood out early, staying ahead of the heat. Business was good. We had our best sales of the summer, although we were beside Chris’s Ice Cream, which did booming business all day.
It’s a nice little market in a lovely park that runs on Saturdays until October. It draws people in from the diverse, surrounding community. People come mainly for the fresh foods available, but there are vendors with some different products, too. Our stuff is definitely on the “different” side.
We have one more date at Beechwood Market – September 13. After that, it will be the Day of the Dead Festival, in ByWard Market, at the end of October, and finally, the Orléans Holiday Arts Market at Shenkman Arts Centre on December 6. I’m considering squeezing in one more in October, otherwise, it’s not bad for a first full year in the market game.
