I make small, mixed‑media sculptures. Using polymer clay and layered acrylic paint, I build compact organisms that look as if they’ve been dug up from a future shoreline or grown in a neglected greenhouse. My practice is obsessed with moments of change — emergence, fusion, decay — and with how tenderness and strangeness can coexist in the same body. Humour and joy slip into the work through unexpected gestures or teetering proportions, while weathered surfaces and mottled colour keep the pieces uncanny. I work out of my home in Ottawa, Canada.
